Yoenis Cespedes Dove Into The Seats For A Ball That Was 10 Rows In

It looks to me like Cespedes just wanted to dive into the stands.  He wasn't even close to catching this foul ball.

Yoenis Cespedes Dropped A Fly Ball To Start The Season For The Mets

It looks like Yoenis Cespedes should have been taking fly balls instead of worrying about which care he was going to drive.  His first opportunity in the field he dropped.  So he's already in postseason form!

Yoenis Cespedes Gave Up A Homerun

No the Mets star outfielder wasn't pitching, he was playing his brand of defense.  There is no denying how valuable his bat is.  And he has a plus arm.  But plays like this will drive Mets fans crazy this season.

Yoenis Cespedes And Noah Syndergaard Rode Horses To Spring Training

The Mets, well Yoenis Cespedes in particular, have been trying to make some noise by showing up to spring training in all kinds of vehicles.  Today Cespedes and teammate Noah Syndergaard traded fancy whips for horses.

Yoenis Cespedes Showed Up To Work Today In A Batmobile

It's actually a Polaris Slingshot.  Whatever it is it looks awesome and it got plenty of attention at spring training this morning.

One thing is for sure Yoenis Cespedes knows how to get attention.

Alcides Escobar Hit An Inside The Park Homerun To Leadoff The Bottom Of The First

Alcides Escobar swung at the very first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first inning.  The result was a deep gap shot that Mets centerfielder Yoenis Cespedes couldn't catch.

So why not an inside the park homerun to start the scoring in the 2015 World Series?  With a start like that you knew game 1 wasn't going to disappoint.

The Benches Cleared In Philly After Robles Buzzed Rupp With Up And In Pitch

It appears as if Hansel Robles wanted a piece of Cameron Rupp before the end of the regular season.  The two had issues earlier in the season when Robles quick pitched Rupp.

Last night was a little different.  Yoenis Cespedes was hit on the hand by a pitch and had to leave the game with bruised fingers.  By the time Robles entered the game the Mets had already evened the score by hitting a Phillies batter.

That's why Robles' "chin music" was personal.  Not to mention stupid, because you have the postseason to worry about if you're the Mets.  Now is not the time to settle personal scores.

The benches cleared briefly and both Robles and Mets manager Terry Collins were sent to the showers.

The Phillies Are Doing Their Best To Ruin The Mets Postseason

Yoenis Cespedes was hit by a pitch during tonight's game against the Phillies.  Early reports are that Cespedes has bruised fingers and no broken bones.

Cespedes has been a huge part of the Mets second half surge to the NL East title.  If this slows him down in any way it could be a huge problem for the postseason.

MLB's Winter Meetings Are Heating Up: Kemp And Cespedes Dealt

This year's winter meetings for Major League Baseball are heating up with lots of trades being made.  And not just minor deals, there are big names changing teams.  Matt Kemp and Yoenis Cespedes are a couple of the big names traded today.

A's Drop 4 Straight to the Angels

The A's are now 12-17 since trading their best hitter, Yoenis Cespedes, to Boston for Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes. They just dropped 4 straight to their division leading Angels and are so desperate for some power they've traded for Adam Dunn.

Billy Beane's gamble that he could trade his clean up hitter for an ace doesn't appear to be paying off. He has to be personally upset considering he sold out on his "moneyball" philosophy to pull of the trade.

Red Sox Trade Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes to the A's and Get Yoenis Cespedes in Return

The Red Sox and A's pulled off a trade deadline blockbuster.  The A's are hopeful that they can make World Series run and have strenghtened their rotation, but at what cost?

Sure the A's get Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes, but they gave up a young talent in Yoenis Cespedes.

The Angels Tested Cespedes Again

Remarkably the Angels tested Yoenis Cespedes arm again after he misplayed another ball.  Cespedes might be misplaying balls on purpose now.  He on back to back nights made incredible throws to nail Angels runners.

His first victim was Howie Kendrick who tried to score after a Cespedes misplay and this one was Albert Pujols who tried to stretch and easy double into three bases.
