ESPN released a statement of Skip Bayless that says he's decided to leave the worldwide leader:

Skip Bayless has decided to leave ESPN when his contract expires at the end of August.

His final appearance on First Take will be the day after the NBA Finals conclude.

We want to thank Skip for his many contributions to ESPN. His hard work and talent have benefited ESPN for 12 years.

Stephen A. Smith was more than a little upset that Terrell Owens is not going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a first ballot hall of famer.  He went nuts yesterday on First Take and trashed his colleagues in the media.

In an interview with NewsOK, Kevin Durant was asked about rumors he was leaning towards going to the Lakers when his time in OKC was up.

It was a rumor started by ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.  Durant flat out denied the rumor and called the source of the rumor a liar:

"I don't talk to Stephen A Smith at all. Nobody in my family, my friends, they don't talk to Stephen A Smith. So he's lying."

Can't do anything but respect Durant for calling Stephen A. on his bs.

Kam Chancellor has decided to end his lengthy holdout and return to the Seahawks without a new contract.  The Seattle safety sent a text to Stephen A. Smith to announce his return, via ESPN:

"Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren't," Chancellor said in the text message. "God forgives all, why can't i? Time to help us get back to the big dance. I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can't let my Dawg down....Real talk."

Chancellor now has to help his team dig out of an 0-2 hole.  They did miss the hard hitting, versatile defensive back, but the Seahawks have other problems.

Ryan Clark filled in on First Take for Stephen A. Smith and said something that Stephen A would have.  He commented on the Raiders releasing running back Trent Richardson calling him,  "the worst running back of all time."

He of course didn't mean the worst of all time and all of the rest of his assessment of Richardson was pretty spot on.

This has to be the end of Richardson's career.  If he can't cut it on the Raiders, who in the hell would take a shot on him?  Just another overhyped college player who fails to live up to the hype.

There is no way in hell Stephen A. Smith heard that Carmelo Anthony is recruiting Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant.  Absolutely no way.

Melo had his opportunity to leave New York and sign with a winner.  Sure it would have been for less money and he would have had to share the ball.

But that's exactly my point.  Melody picked the money and the ball, not winning.

Stephen A. Smith revealed on First Take yesterday that he is skeptical of Alex Rodriguez's success this season.  Smith and Skip Bayless were discussing the possibility of A Rod catching Barry Bonds for top spot on the all time homerun list.

Monday was A Rod's 40th birthday and entering play he was 85 behind Bonds.  If continues to play like he is this season for a few more seasons it's possible, but will he be able to?

And without PEDs?

First Take has a new interim host and she's a looker.  Molly Qerim is getting a shot at the hosting duties for ESPN's big money maker.

It's a good gig for Qerim and a chance for her to showcase her talents, but there is a cost.  She has to spend several hours a day spending time with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.

Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith used Friday's episode of First Take to kick Tiger Woods while he's down.  Woods is of course struggling at the US Open.

The outrageous duo called for him to beg one of his old swing coaches to come back or retire.  Kind of hard to imagine calls for his retirement before he even hits the age of 40.

But that's what these two morons do.

This isn't the first time that ESPN's Stephen A Smith has said something offensive about women.  Remember his whole domestic violence argument that the victim provokes the attacker?

His comments this time around were not nearly as inflammatory, but all the sexism you could ask for.  Smith said that the female soccer players turned their head when the ball was kicked in their direction because they didn't want to mess their hair up.

Good thing they had him on Sports Center so we could hear his very important commentary.

Stephen A. Smith had a problem with Tom Brady skipping the Patriots White House visit.  He suggested the issue wasn't that Brady had something else to do, as Brady said, but the fact that Barack Obama is the President.

I'm not sure if he was saying Brady is a republican or a racist.  I'm sure Brady isn't the first guy to skip the White House visit after a Super Bowl victory and I'm sure he won't be the last guy.

ESPN really needs to take a long look at Stephen A.
