Pete Rose Sent Donald Trump An Endorsement Through An Autographed Baseball
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
It looks like Pete Rose has picked who he'll vote for in the upcoming presidential elections. I just hope Donald Trump picks Rose as his running mate. Could you imagine the circus of a Trump-Rose ticket?
Rose sent Trump a baseball with his autograph and a brief message, "Please make America great again."
I'm still confused on why America isn't great now and what we would be going back to that was so great, but I'll leave all that to the suits in Washington.

Pete Rose Will Not Be Reinstated
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred released his decision on Pete Rose's reinstatement. Rose will not be reinstated, partly due to the report by those tattle tales over at Outside The Lines and partly due to his own stupidity.
Here is Manfred's decision:
Is anyone really surprised? He lied about betting on baseball then lied about betting while a player and still to this day places bets on baseball.

Jimmy Kimmel Got Paintballed By The Royals
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Jimmy Kimmel made a bet with some guy that the Mets would win the World Series and the loser of the bet would be shot with paintballs.
Well Kimmel paid up last night and there were a few Royals who joined in on the action.
This should be a lesson for everyone, if you're going to bet never bet on the Mets.
I'm pretty sure that's sports betting 101. To be sure ask the professor Pete Rose.

Pete Rose might be a walking, talking meme. He was entertaining as hell during the ALCS game 6 rain delay. It was probably past his bedtime. Whatever it was, this line will go down in internet history.

Pete Rose Criticized Soft Blue Jays For Leaving Playoff Game Due To Injury
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Both Jose Bautista and Josh Donaldson left the game 1 loss to the Rangers with injury. Bautista apparently tweaked something while Donaldson took a pretty good shot to the head.
Pete Rose criticized both players for leaving the game. He isn't a fan of them leaving the game with injury. You have to remember Rose played the game turned all the way up at all times.
I'm with him on the Bautista "injury" unless he tore something or broke a bone he needs to be out there. Donaldson, on the other hand, is a little more understandable. He took a pretty good shot to the head.

MLB Commissioner To Rule On Pete Rose Reinstatement By The End Of The Year
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred met with Pete Rose today about Rose's reinstatement request. Following the meeting the MLB announced that the Commissioner will be ruling on the reinstatement request by the end of the year.
It's time to reinstate the league's all time hits leader. So he bet on games when he was a manager and a player/manager. Who cares?
There isn't any evidence that he threw any games or bet against his teams. His career is worthy of the Hall of Fame.
Did I mention he's the league's all time hits leader? And most baseball fans don't care that he bet on games.

Pete Rose Spotted Betting On Sports At The Mandalay Bay
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Terez Owens posted some pictures that are said to be Pete Rose at the Mandalay Bay sports book. While the pictures do look a lot like Rose, none of the pictures show the MLB hits leader's face.
The pictures couldn't come out at a worse time for Rose as MLB Commissioner, Rob Manfred, announced yesterday that he would be making a decision on Ross's request for reinstatement.
I think it's a shame that the league's hits leader isn't in the Hall of Fame. He clearly had a career worthy of the honor. But on the other hand he broke one of the big rules and bet on games while a player/manager.
I still lean towards the fact that he didn't bet against his team and his on the field play wasn't affected by his play. He played hard and clearly had a Hall of Fame career.

Pete Rose Accused Of Repeated Statutory Rape
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
John Dowd, the former federal crime investigator who uncovered Rose's gambling on baseball, accused Pete Rose of repeated statutory rape both as a player and manager in the MLB. The allegations came when Dowd was a guest on a Pennsylvania radio show.
Today Dowd is saying that the allegations have been blown out of proportion.
How exactly does one blow out of proportion allegations of statutory rape of 12-14 year old girls? It sounds to me like Mr. Dowd either made it up or didn't do anything about it at the time he learned of it.
Either way there is something shady going on.

Pete Rose Received A Standing Ovation Prior To The All Star Game In Cincinnati
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Lifetime ban? Not anymore. Pete Rose was able to participate in the All Star game festivities last night. So is he going to be finally inducted into the Hall Of Fame?
Not so fast. For now he'll have to settle for a standing ovation from his hometown fans in Cincinnati prior to an All Star game.
Let's call it step 1. Because the average fan thinks that baseball's all time hit leader probably deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame.

Pete Rose Fans Flocked to Connecticut
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Why in the hell would Pete Rose fans flock to Connecticut? Because an independent team in Bridgeport let him coach first base.
The 73 year old was banned from MLB 25 years ago and this is probably their only shot to see Rose coaching on a baseball field again.
Independent league teams are always looking to attract fans and this seems to have brought out plenty of middle aged white guy losers.

Pete Rose Talks PED's and Second Chances
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Panic Button caught up with Pete Rose in Las Vegas while Rose was doing a signing of some sort and asked him about the Hall of Fame and PED's. We all know the all time hits leader should be in the Hall of Fame and he should be forgiven for his mistakes he made as a manager. I think a second chance is all he's asking for.
After the question about the Hall of Fame was answer they moved on to PED's and Roses answer is right on the button, see the interview below.
