The Phillies released a statement on the matter that reads in part, via CBS Sports:
Due to recent events, the Phillies and Pete Rose have decided that Pete will not participate in the Phillies Alumni Weekend festivities to be held at Citizens Bank Park on August 10-13, 2017.
The recent events are of course the sworn statement of a woman claiming she had a sexual relationship with Rose, back in the 70s, when she was under the age of 16.
Just Pete Rose doing Pete Rose things. It's only a matter of time before FOX Sports let's him go.
