The Yankees are off to a terrible start this season.  Fresh off of a sweep in Boston, it's safe to say I'm miserable.  The only bright spot is news this evening that the Red Sox big name free agent signing from a couple of years ago needs shoulder surgery.

Pablo Sandoval's second season in Boston isn't going well at all.  He started it off by showing up to spring training a little overweight.

Then he lost his starting job to a minor leaguer.  When he did get a chance to play he broke a belt swinging and is now headed to the DL after sleeping on his arm, via WEEI Full Count:

“Yesterday I don’t feel nothing weird,” Sandoval said. “This morning I wake up and I can’t even move my arm. That’s why I worry about it.”

Pablo Sandoval got his first action of the 2016 season on Saturday and struck out three times.  He also broke his belt swinging his bat.

The Panda, if he's still called that (seems so San Fran), Pablo Sandoval and his belly made its spring training debut.  He might actually be a little down in weight too.

Pablo Sandoval jumped and swung at an R.A. Dickey knuckleball that was over his head.  Not only did he swing, he managed to hit the ball.

I've seen some bad pitches get swung at, but a knuckleball this bad?  That's a first.  Not to mention the fact that he somehow hit it.

The Red Sox joke of a season continues to roll on.  Pablo Sandoval was benched Thursday for liking Instagram pics during an alleged bathroom break in the middle of a game.

You just can't make this stuff up.  I love every minute of it.

The Red Sox are apparently on a spending spree as they retool for the 2015 season. They've signed Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez and still have the return of Jon Lester in their sights.

Sometimes you run across something you just can't make up.  The MLB twitter account just tweeted "Worst to first, Take 2?" about the Red Sox.  Because they're attempting to sign free agents Jon Lester and Pablo Sandoval.

There you have it, attempting to sign free agents means your team is now in first after finishing in last place.  It only takes two players too.  Wait didn't they have Lester for the majority of 2014?

So it only takes one, Sandoval.  Worst to first.

Pablo Sandoval takes protecting the runner to hilariously new levels.  Sandoval's swing at this pitch was incredibly late but effective.  It appeared to disrupt the catcher's throw.

The Giants ball girl interferes with a foul ball.  She's lucky Pablo Sandoval wasn't playing.  Man that would have been a thing a beauty though.

To be fair the guy was able to make the catch and the game at the time was pretty much over but pay attention!

Now get out of the way so we can watch the damn game.
