If you're able to look past John Lackey's teeth you'll be able to see Arrieta's baby face.  He must have been keeping the beard until the Cubs won it all.

Jon Lester was 0-66 before finally recording his first Major League hit off of John Lackey.   The ball literally went off of Lackey for an infield hit.

The two are former Red Sox rotation mates and one would assume friends.  To me it looked like Lackey grooved him one.  It was an 0-2 fastball right down the middle.

The Cardinals took the series lead 2-1 on Monday night behind a strong start from John Lackey and a big home run from Kolten Wong.

Wong's two run home run came in the 7th inning of a tied game putting the Cardinals up 3-1.  That score held and was the final score of the game, putting the Cardinals in the driver's seat with a chance to wrap up the series in game 4.
