David Ross Is Still Celebrating Homeruns By Touching Cups

David Ross hit a homerun during Game 7 of the World Series and broke out the cup touching celebration again.
I'm glad we got to see this one more time.

David Ross With An Impressive Double Play
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
David Ross made a hell of a play on a foul bunt attempt. The old man popped up and dove for it making a great fully extended catch. He then threw the runner out at second.
I'm really not sure what the guy on first was thinking tagging up on a foul ball to the catcher. But it was an overall impressive play by the veteran.
It will probably require him to take two arthritis pills tonight. I'm sure he'll tell you it was worth it.

David Ross Ran To The Dugout On Strike Two
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
David Ross ran all the way to the dugout on strike two. It was the only highlight of the game up to that point for the Cubs, as the Mets jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in game 4.
Ross pretty much speaks for all of the Cubs at this point, they just want to get off of the field.

An Umpire Charged The Mound On Jon Lester
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

Umpire Andy Fletcher charged the mound on Jon Lester yesterday and had to be restrained by catcher David Ross. Lester was obviously not happy with Fletcher, but it is absolutely insane that an MLB umpire would go out to the mound to confront a pitcher.
Fletcher's actions were uncalled for and he should be fired immediately. These umpires need to set straight.

David Ross Ended A Game By Picking A Runner Off Of First
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

David Ross picked a runner off of first to end a game. He was really happy with himself too.
How does one allow the geezer Ross to pick them off?
I'm not sure what this is called, maybe a pick off off? That has too many offs. Either way the Cubs picked up the win.

Jon Lester Signs With The Cubs, Other Former Red Sox Could Follow Him To Chicago

[UPDATED] #Cubs sign Jon Lester to 6-yr, $155 million deal (@CSNMooney) - http://t.co/sIXel2bHGW pic.twitter.com/wXCobaOnrZ
— Comcast SportsNet (@CSNChicago) December 10, 2014
Jon Lester signed with the Cubs for six years at $155 million, because Theo Epstein is a slick son of a bitch. Epstein was able to pull Lester away from the Red Sox and other former Red Sox could follow.
According to Larry Brown Sports, free agents David Ross and Jonny Gomes could be on their way to Chicago as well. That's a pretty big improvement to the rotation and key role players, if they all end up with the Cubs. One thing Epstein knows how to do is build a winner.
If he can build another winner in Chicago, like he did in Boston, he might become a GM legend. Not that he isn't already for the job he did with the Red Sox, but could you imagine if he pulls it off for the Cubs?
