Mia Khalifa Stepped Up Her FSU Recruiting Game...Again

Mia Khalifa has turned her Florida State recruiting game from Braxton Miller to high school game.  She exchanged tweets today with a top 5 high school player.

Khalifa needs to be careful with the high schoolers, some of them are still under 18.

Nick Diaz Talks About His Upcoming Fight With Anderson Silva

One thing missing from this fight, which is Saturday night at UFC 183, has been Nick Diaz' trash talk.  He's either matured or respects Anderson Silva more than any other fighter he's faced up to this point.  It sounds like a little of both.

Silva of course is coming back from his freak leg injury to fight for the first time since it happened.  Diaz is definitely a good first step back into the octagon and is by no means a cakewalk for Silva.  This should be a good fight.

Drew Brees And Norah O'Donnell Talking Balls Made My Day

There are few things that are funnier than talking about balls. It's just a simple fact that balls are funny, so it would make sense that I would have a hard time not laughing at Drew Brees and Norah O'Donnell talking about balls.  Brees seems to find it a little funny, smurking at times, but Norah just plowed straight ahead saying that they had two balls the other day and she could tell the difference.

This is the stuff that CBS is spending a ton of money to talk about, via Busted Coverage:

Celebrity Patriots Fans Took Blame For Defkategate On Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel setup the joke working under the premise that deflategate is a thing and the locker room attendant is still a suspect.  He also pointed out that people take the blame for things they didn't do, especially in high profile cases.

These celebrities, who are also Patriots fans, take the blame for deflategate.

Brian Shaw Went Beast Mode In Post Game Interview

Nuggets head coach, Brian Shaw, pulled out a little Marshawn Lynch in his post game interview.  Shaw used Lynch's, "I'm just here so I don't get fined" line.

Not the sort of opening statement you'd expect from the head coach of an NBA team that just lost a game by 30 points and only scored 69 on the night.  But I guess we laugh to keep from crying at times.

If I was the owner of the team and my head coach was cracking jokes after a blowout loss I wouldn't hesitate to fire him.

TNT's Kevin Harlan Took A Ball To The Face During Bulls-Lakers Game

During the 4th quarter of the Bulls-Lakers game on TNT Kevin Harlan took a basketball to the face.  He may have been hurt, but he didn't show it.

Harlan not only didn't miss a beat and continued to call the game, he also did the replay of himself taking a basketball to her face.

FOX Sports Tennessee Played Porn Audio In The Background Of A Hockey Game

Someone behind the scenes over at FOX Sports is probably looking for employment because their porn audio made it on TV during a Predators hockey game.  It's pretty clear what the audio is from, what is not clear is how it made it on a NHL broadcast.

Have a listen for yourself.  If you're at work you might want to throw the headphones in or risk getting accused of watching hockey porn.

Odell Beckham Jr. Caught 33 Passes One Handed In A Minute

Odell Beckham Jr. set a world record for one handed catches in a minute.  Drew Brees and VISA helped the young stud receiver set the record.

So not only has Beckham made one of the best one handed catches in the history of the NFL this season, he's also set a world record.  Not a bad first season in the league.

Katy Perry Assured Us All That Nothing About Her Performance Would Be Deflated

During Katy Perry's Super Bowl press conference she was asked about deflategate.  I guess they hadn't heard that the deflategate investigation is officially a joke.

Perry did however find a way to answer the question with humor and a clever reference to her own breasts.

Marshawn Lynch Gives Zero Fucks About The Media

If you haven't noticed by now Marshawn Lynch isn't fond of the media.  On his third and final day of media availability Lynch let the media have it.

Lynch actually talked to the media, but he didn't answer any questions, not that repeating the same response over and over is an answer.  He went full on Beast Mode and I have to say is I'm a fan.

Beast Mode And Gronk Hung Out On Conan

Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski looked like they had fun hanging out on Conan.  It is hard to have a bad time with Gronk around.

The two will face each other in the Super Bowl this weekend, but first faced each other in video games.  For some reason they played Mortal Kombat.

Here is my 2014 NFL Super Bowl pick
(7-3 for the postseason, 170-85-1 for the regular season)

iconSeaNE @ Sea – And then there were two.  These are the #1 seeds from the AFC & NFC, not a big surprise that either of them made it all the way to the Super Bowl.  Both teams have looked strong, both have big game experience, and neither will back down from this fight.  But the edge here goes to the best defense, and that’s Seattle’s.  Brady is a future Hall of Famer, and so is Belichick for that matter, so I expect some holes to be exploited.   But overall, the Seahawks know what it takes to rattle a killer QB; look what they did last year in this same setting.  All Russell Wilson will have to do is play better than he did against Green Bay to give his team enough offense to win this game; he can’t possibly do any worse.  With a win here, the Seahawks could be on their way to claiming the title of 2010’s Dynasty Team.  The 60s: Packers.  The 70s: Steelers.  The 80s: 49ers.  The 90s: Cowboys.  The 2000s: Patriots.  The 2010s: we’ll just have to see.

Odell Beckham Jr. Destroyed A Kid With A Dodgeball

I'm not sure why he was playing dodgeball with these kids or when this was, but Odell Beckham destroyed this kid with a dodgeball.  The video started making it's way around the internet yesterday and I can't stop watching it.

Stephen Curry Had An Unreal Over The Shoulder Pass

A couple nights ago Stephen Curry showed off his next level passing skills.  While cutting through the lane Curry faked a behind the back pass and then made the pass over his shoulder.

Now I've seen the fake behind the back pass followed by a layup.  But this is the first fake behind the back pass that I've seen be followed up with an over the shoulder pass and it may have melted the rest of my brain.

Kyrie Irving Scored 55 Points Including The Game Winner

LeBron James was out for the Cavaliers last night with a sprained wrist.  So the scoring fell on Kyrie Irving.  He responded by scoring his and LeBron's points and finished 55 points.

Irving made 11 three pointers including the game winning basket.

Carmelo Anthony Responded To Courtside Heckler

The Knicks are in full tank mode and Knicks fans aren't happy about it.  One Knicks fan took out his frustration by heckling Carmelo Anthony about his lack of defense.

It's certainly not new that Melo lacks the ability to play defense, but what is new is Melo responding to hecklers.

A Guy Got A "Gisele Can Deflate These Balls Any Day" Sign On ESPN

ESPN is hanging out in Arizona for the Super Bowl and live shows mean live crowds.  Which opens the door for signs like this guy, who got his "Gisele can deflate these balls any day" sign on live TV.

Boomer Esiason Thinks Richard Sherman Should Be Fined, Because Boomer Esiason Is An Idiot

Boomer Esiason claims that Richard Sherman attacked Roger Goodell and the integrity of the NFL, by questioning the relationship between the commissioner and the owner of the Patriots.  Sherman spoke his mind and told what he felt was the truth.  It was far from an attack.

Esiason said if he was the commissioner he would fine Sherman and called for a heavy duty fine for punishment of Sherman's comments.  It must be all the shots to his head, because I didn't find what Sherman said to warrant a fine.

Gronk Gave The Best Answer Ever Given

Rob Gronkowski gave his most Gronk answer ever today.  He was asked one of those hard hitting questions that Marshawn Lynch refuses to answer, why people care about his partying and he delivered this gem.

"Uhh....because I'm a baller."

He could have just dropped the mic and ended the interview right there.

Alex Morgan Has A Behind The Scenes Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Video

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has done it again.  This time it's a behind the scenes look at Alex Morgan's photo shoot.

The behind the scenes videos are the best and Morgan's video doesn't disappoint.

Derrick Rose Nailed Game Winner Against The Warriors

Derrick Rose had a rough night shooting, but hit the biggest shot when his team needed him.  Rose was 13-33 shooting on the night, but lucky 13 was the most important one.

The team called his number when it counted and Rose took and made a difficult shot, using a quick release to get it over the defender.

Floyd Mayweather And Manny Pacquiao Talked Face To Face At Heat Game

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao met at halftime during last night's Miami Heat game.  The two boxers talked briefly before bro hugging.

Were they discussing a fight in May?  Who knows?  If they were it's a clever way to get even more attention to a much talked about fight.

Rob Gronkowski Read From "A Gronking To Remember"

Someone at media day had the erotic book written about Rob Gronkowski, "A Gronking To Remember."  So of course they asked him to read from it and of course Gronk did.

It was the biggest Gronk moment in the history of media day.  It was also a genius move by the guy who brought the book and then asked Gronk to read from it.

Georgina Holguin Got Russell Wilson And Richard Sherman To Do Dance With Her

Model and Televisa Deportes reporter, Georgina Holguin went around on media getting players to dance with her.  Players were obviously willing to comply with her dance request.

It doesn't hurt her efforts that she's smoking hot.  Here are videos of her dancing with Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman.

Marshawn Lynch Did His 6 Minutes In The Closet With NFL's SB Media Day

The NFL's Super Bowl media day is now complete.  Marshawn Lynch appeared for his mandatory 6 minutes and answered all questions he was asked with the same response, "I'm just here so I don't get fined."

You have to respect Lynch for sticking to his one line responses, no matter how many times he is forced to do media appearances.

Kim Kardashian Has A Super Bowl Commercial And Somehow I Don't Hate It

T-Mobile and Kim Kardashian teamed up for a Super Bowl commercial.  As much as I want to hate it, I don't.

It makes fun of Kim a little while getting it's point across, not a bad commercial.  I hate that T-Mobile made me like something a Kardashian was a part of (besides that sex tape).

But good for them.

Dion Waiters Forgot How To Dribble

Dion Waiters had trouble dribbling on a fast break last night.  After almost losing the ball, Waiters recovered enough to miss the layup.  It wasn't his best fast break.

Charles Barkley Thinks Josh Gordon Is Going To Die

Charles Barkley was on ESPN's His&Hers discussing sports of course.  One of the topics discussed was Josh Gordon's recent failed drug test and his likely year long suspension.

Gordon failed the drug test because of alcohol, which he is supposed to avoid because of his past issues.  During the discussion Barkley said that if Gordon continues to have drug and alcohol issues that he would end up dead.

It's kind of hard to argue with Barkley, because Gordon seems to be willing to throw away millions of dollars and his NFL career for a few drinks.

Marshawn Lynch Finally Answered Questions At A Press Conference

Marshawn Lynch answered questions at a press conference.  Because it was for Skittles and they paid him.

Lynch's Skittles press conference is awesome.  Everyone  will be watching him on media day, maybe he'll just eat Skittles the whole time.

Patriots Owner Defends Brady And Belichick, Wants NFL To Apologize

Patriots owner Robert Kraft held a press conference backing Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and demanding an apology from the NFL.  Pretty ballsy move by Kraft, but he wouldn't do this unless he knew 100% that Brady and Belichick had nothing to do with deflating footballs.

The investigation by the NFL hasn't concluded yet and it should be interesting to hear what they find.

The Victoria's Secret Super Bowl Commercial Is Here

The Victoria's Secret Super Bowl commercial is here and they kept it real simple.  Smoking hot super models in lingerie, just the way we like it.

Why complicate a winning formula?

Lance Armstrong Would Dope Again If Given The Chance

Lance Armstrong sat down with BBC for an interview and revealed that if he had it to do all over again he would dope again.

Armstrong said if he was racing in 2015 he wouldn't dope because there isn't a need to, but if he went back to the 90s he would do it all over again, via BBC:
"If I was racing in 2015, no, I wouldn't do it again because I don't think you have to," he said.
"If you take me back to 1995, when doping was completely pervasive, I would probably do it again."
Armstrong isn't fooling anybody.  He would do it in the 90s and his lying ass would do it today too.

DeSean Jackson Was At The Miss Universe Pageant

DeSean Jackson wasn't at the Pro Bowl on Sunday and he seemed to be doing alright for himself.  Not only was he attending the Miss Universe pageant, the Redskins wide receiver got to meet the winner Miss Colombia Paulina Vega.

Certainly not a bad place to be if you aren't selected to the Pro Bowl.

And the Winner is !! This beautiful lady congrats !!

J.J. Watt Proved That Other People Besides Odell Beckham Jr. Can Catch Footballs One Handed

J.J. Watt pulled down an awesome one handed catch prior to the Pro Bowl on Sunday.  The pass was thrown from someone in the stands and the catch was the best thing about the entire game.

Sure Watt went on to win the Pro Bowl MVP award, but I bet showing up Odell Beckham Jr. was worth more than the MVP award.  Especially when you take into account Watt is a defensive lineman.

Woman Eats Glen "Big Baby" Davis Ass At Clippers Game

During the Clippers-Suns game on Sunday one lucky woman had a meeting with a 300 pound sweaty man's ass.  The lucky woman was sitting courtside when Glen Davis, hustling for a ball landed ass first on her face.

Check Out John Wall's Between The Legs Bounce Pass

John Wall has serious ball handling skills and he put it on full display with this between the legs pass.  Wall hit Marcin Gortat with a between the legs bounce pass that was right on the money.

Wall was so confident that Gortat was going to finish he started back down the court to play defense.

Chris Berman Had Enough Of The Pro Bowl Game At Halftime

Following the halftime performance at the Pro Bowl the camera cut to Chris Berman, he delivered his line and then he rolled his eyes in disgust.

Clearly he was upset about something, probably having to work the Pro Bowl.  He was about to rip into someone that is for sure.

Richard Sherman Took Shots At Kraft And Goodell

Richard Sherman isn't one to hold back when he has something to say.  And he didn't do so when asked about possible deflategate punishment on the Patriots.

Sherman doubted any punishment would be handed down.  He pointed to Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell's friendship, calling it a conflict of interest.

It's hard to argue the conflict of interest, especially when there is photographic evidence.  But the punishment that is in place is only 25k per ball of something, so lets be clear this is a minor infraction.

Hassan Whiteside Admits He's Trying To Improve His NBA 2K Rating

Miami Heat center, Hassan Whiteside, admitted in his post game interview that while he s trying to win, he's also trying to improve his NBA 2K rating.  After all what is an NBA win without a boost to one's NBA 2K rating?

Lance Stephenson Not Worried About Trade Rumors

Word around Charlotte has been that off season, free agent signing, Lance Stephenson is not getting along with his Hornets teammates.  Trade rumors have been swirling around the under performing Stephenson for a couple months now.

If this video is any indication Stephenson looks like he gets along with his teammates and isn't too worried about all of the trade rumors.

Rob Manfred Open To Pitch Clock And Eliminating Defensive Shifts

New Major League Baseball commissioner, Rob Manfred, sat down with ESPN's Karl Ravich and said that he was open to a pitch clock to help speed up the game and that he would also like to look at eliminating defensive shifts.  Man am I glad that Bud Selig is finally gone.

As a lifelong fan of the game I would love to see both of these things take place.  I think making pitchers speed up would not only help speed the game up, but make the game more enjoyable to watch.  Nobody wants to see a guy walk around a mound for 2 minutes before throwing his next pitch.  Sure the defensive shift does work against some players, in some situations, but it has been very overused and needs to go away, via ESPN:

Anthony Johnson Took Out Alexander Gustafsson In Impressive Fashion At UFC On FOX 14

The headliner of UFC on FOX 14 from Sweden was Anthony Johnson vs Alexander Gustafsson.  The fight didn't make it past the first round.  Gustafsson was fighting in front of his home crowd, but proved to be easy work for Johnson.

Johnson dropped Gustafsson early in the first round with a right hand, that cause the tall Swede to drop to a knee.  Gustafsson was able to get back up, but the damage had been done and Johnson smelled victory.  He eventually was able to get Gustafsson to the ground and finish the fight with some vicious strikes.

Makwan Amirkhani Pulled Off An 8 Second KO Win At UFC On FOX 14

Makwan Amirkhani made one hell of a debut in the UFC with an 8 second finish of his opponent.  He made his debut on Saturday night at UFC on FOX 14.

Amirkhani came out of his corner with a flying knee and then landed an uppercut and finished the fight.  It took all of 8 seconds of the first round.

Kobe Bryant Out The Rest Of The Season, Blames Too Much Passing For His Injury

Kobe Bryant will have another injury shortened season.  The Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard has a torn rotator cuff and will need surgery.  The end of Kobe's career is starting to look really sad now.  It's the third season in a row shortened by injury.

Kobe seems to be doing okay despite the news.  He tweeted out that he was injured from passing too much.

Bill Belichick Addressed The Deflated Ball Incident Again

Can we please get on to the Super Bowl already?  Bill Belichick has once again addressed the deflategate overblown controversy.

The internet and twitter in particular lit up during Belichick's press conference, where he revealed some tests the Patriots have been doing involving footballs and cold weather.  He continued to deny the Patriots did anything to remove air or underinflate footballs.

I just want this whole thing to be over so we can talk about the actual game.

Klay Thompson Scored 37 Points In One Quarter

The Golden State Warriors have an elite level scorer.  Well the Warriors actually have two.  Sure everyone knows about Stephen Curry's shooting ability, but quietly making a name for himself in his shadow is Klay Thompson.

Thompson proved on Friday night that he can score with the best of them.  He scored 37 points in the 3rd quarter.  Thompson was 13-of-13 shooting, including 9-of-9 from 3-point range.

The 37 point quarter broke George Gervin's 1978 record for points in a quarter.  Gervin scored 33 points as a member of the Spurs.

Thompson finished the night with 52 points. Here is a video of all of his 37 points.

Mr. Cub Ernie Banks Has Died At The Age Of 83

The Cubs have announced the passing of Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, at the age of 83.  Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts released the following statement on Banks' passing, via WGNTV:
“Words cannot express how important Ernie Banks will always be to the Chicago Cubs, the city of Chicago and Major League Baseball. He was one of the greatest players of all time. He was a pioneer in the major leagues. And and more importantly, he was the warmest and most sincere person I’ve ever known. Approachable, ever optimistic and kind hearted, Ernie Banks is and always will be Mr. Cub. My family and I grieve the loss of such a great and good-hearted man, but we look forward to celebrating Ernie’s life in the days ahead.”
R.I.P. Mr. Cub.

Sal Paolantonio Has Lost His Mind Says Brady Held Press Conference To Sell Ugg Boots To Women

Sal Paolantonio has an idea of why Tom Brady held a deflategate press conference yesterday.  To sell women boots, because women don't like cheaters.

I kid you not.  This is the type of in depth football analysis ESPN is spending money on to bring the world.  Now I've heard everything that has to do with this minor infraction.

Check Out Manu Ginobili's Awesome Behind The Back Pass

Manu Ginobili has proven all season that he still has some basketball left in him.  He has slowed down a bit and struggled at times last season, no question about it.

Ginobili has played better this season and this awesome behind the back pass is all the proof you need.

Shit Got Real At Alabama-Auburn Women's Basketball Game

Two of the players got tangled up under the basket after a free throw and then punches flew.  Not only did some punches fly, they landed.

Have you ever seen a punch land in the NBA?  The answer is no.  Maybe they need to watch these ladies throw down to figure out how to close the distance and actually connect on a punch.

Blake Griffin Grabbed The Back Of The Trainer's Head And Pulled Towards His Crotch

During the Clippers game last night an odd thing took place involving Blake Griffin and the Clippers trainer.  As the trainer was looking at Griffin's knee he grabbed the back of the trainer's head and pulled it towards his crotch.

Griffin was likely just fooling around, but if the trainer isn't cool with it he could probably not have to work another day in his life.  It was after all caught on camera.

Tennis Announcer Asked Eugenie Bouchard To Twirl Because It's 1940 In Australia

Following her Australian Open win, Eugenie Bouchard, was asked to do a twirl by some creepy Australian announcer.  It was an odd request and seemed a little out of line.

There is a little bit of a story around the twirl, although I'm not sure it helps the announcer out at all.  As he mentioned in the video, he got Serena Williams to do a twirl to show off her line of tennis clothing.

Imagine a male athlete being asked to do a twirl.

Guess What...Deflating Footballs Isn't Cheating Because There Is No Advantage

Why is the media still insanely pushing deflategate?  Why are players claiming that there is an advantage to deflating a football?  And why in the world is Mark Brunell crying after Tom Brady's press conference?

Especially when this video from Sports Science debunks the thought that a deflated ball gave the Patriots an advantage.

Let us not forget that the Patriots scored 28 of their 45 points in the second half after the footballs had been discovered to be low on air and were filled back up.  Or the fact that Brady's second half numbers were better than his first half with deflated footballs.

Also LaGarrette Blount had 30 carries for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Were those stata the result of a deflated ball?  Come on give me a break.

Is it an NFL rule?  Yes.  Does breaking the rule give you an unfair advantage?  No.

It doesn't matter what Michael Wilbon, Stephen A Smith or Troy Aikman's dumbass thinks.  Deflategate is over, lets talk about the Super Bowl.

Tom Brady Addressed Deflategate And Says He Has No Knowledge Of Any Intentional Deflation Of The Footballs

Tom Brady did a press conference this afternoon and said he has no knowledge of any footballs being deflated intentionally.  Brady also indicated he talked with the equipment manager who claims to have done nothing to footballs.

Both Bill Belichick and now Tom Brady have denied any knowledge of the footballs being intentionally deflated prior to the AFC Championship game.  The NFL is still investigating whether or not the Patriots intentionally deflated the game.  So we'll have to wait and see what the NFL will decide to do.
