A gunman opened fire with a semiautomatic rifle during a Republican Congressional Baseball practice.  The practice was for an annual charity game.

US State of Virginia House Majority whip Steve Scalise, a couple of congressional aides and a couple of police officers were injured during the shooting.  No reports of fatalities.

If we could just get ESPN to stick to sports like politicians...
