John Smoltz was on fire during Game 1 of the World Series. He had so much knowledge that he couldn't hold it all and dropped it everywhere.
Forget everything you know about hitting, because you learned the wrong way. John Smoltz played in MLB after all.
Short swing? Wrong. You need a long swing.
A light bat and use of your hips? Nope. You need a heavy bat and you just swing with your hands, no body.
So if you're following along and want tone subscribe to Mike Napoli's school of hitting according to John Smoltz follow these steps.
1. Get a long, heavy bat.
2. Get a long swing.
3. Swing with just your hands. Don't use your body at all.
Mike Napoli told John Smoltz he uses a heavy bat to generate bat speed with hands, not his body. pic.twitter.com/rWcbIe9k2W— Parker Hageman (@ParkerHageman) October 26, 2016
