If Colin Kaepernick's goal was to gain attention with his protest then mission accomplished.  The reach of his protest has made its way all the way up to the top with President Obama answering questions about it.

Obama said of Kaepernick that he was, "exercising his constitutional right to make a statement."  He went on to say that, "if nothing else, what he's done is he's generated more conversation around some topics that need to be talked about."

The P.O.T.U.S. isn't the only one backing the 49ers very expensive backup QB.  Kap's jersey sales have taken off.  His jersey is now the top selling 49ers jersey.

Colin Kaepernick is now the 49ers best selling jersey. More of his gear sold in last week on the 49ers site than the past 8 months combined.

I suppose they could be buying up the jerseys to burn them.  But that’s not going to negatively affect Kaepernick any.  Just the jackass who wastes their money to burn it.
