The Blue Jays put together an All Star lineup that hits a ton of home runs. They have a lot of hitters that do some diving over the plate. But don't throw inside because if it's too close to them or hits them they'll cry about it.
During today's game against the Royals Josh Donaldson was hit with a pitch thrown by Edinson Volquez. He also had a couple of high and tight pitches keeping him honest in his later at bats.
Clearly the Royals strategy was to keep him from diving over the plate. But he wasn't a fan of it. Basically crying like a baby about the high and tight pitches.
The umpires didn't help the situation by immediately warning the teams after Donaldson was hit. But the Blue Jays whining and crying made it even worse.
Late in the game a Royals pitcher hit Troy Tulowitzki. That was followed by a Blue Jays pitcher hitting a Royal and getting tossed from the game. Of course the benches cleared and they did that staredown that includes profanity laced pleasantries.
The lesson here is the Blue Jays are cry babies.
