Rex Ryan Signs Cut Jets Player Who Punched Geno Smith
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Rex Ryan is doing Rex Ryan things in Buffalo. The Bills new head coach isn't wasting any time to stick it to his old team.
Ryan and the Bills signed IK Enemkpali, the linebacker the Jets released for punching Geno Smith. Sure Ryan drafted him and all that, but this isn't about that.
It's Ryan's way to show the Jets that he's a fan of the sucker punch heard round the world.

Geno Smith Has A Broken Jaw After Being Punched By A Teammate
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
So much for getting off to a good start for the Jets and Geno Smith. They have a new coaching staff but the same old Jets type stuff happening.
It's the second time this week a quarterback has been in an altercation with a teammate in the NFL. This one will cost Smith 6-10 weeks.
Smith has a broken jaw following what is being described as a sucker punch from a teammate.

The Bears Are Trading Brandon Marshall To The Jets
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
According to Adam Schefter the Bears have agreed to trade Brandon Marshall to the Jets.
That gives the Jets a pretty good one two punch at wide receiver with Marshall and Eric Decker. The trade also makes it unlikely that the team will resign Percy Harvin.
Now they have to find someone to throw them the ball. It doesn't appear Geno Smith is the answer at quarterback.

Geno Smith Got Punched In The Face
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

One of the who cares games of the week was the Jets-Titans game. The two teams are battling for draft position at this point in the season. That didn't stop them from fighting.
Jets quarterback Geno Smith and several Titans players were exchanging words when one of the Titans players popped Smith in the face. Sure he had a helmet on, but you can tell by the way his head snapped back it was a pretty good shot.
After Smith was hit his team stood up for him and a fight broke out. As you'd expect it was the most exciting moment of the game.

Geno Smith Being Geno Smith
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

The Jets have pretty much sucked all year and the start to Sunday's game was no different. Geno Smith threw a pick six on the first play of the game.
That's right the first play, 11 seconds into the game.

Mike Vick Got Some Playing Time On Sunday
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

The Chargers destroyed the Jets 31-0. With the game already out of hand and Geno Smith struggling again the Jets brought in Mike Vick.
Vick didn't fair much better than Smith and after this hit was probably hoping the Jets kept him on the sidelines for this one and gave him a shot as the starter next week.

Geno Smith Cursed at Fans Following Jets Loss to the Lions
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

Geno Smith is feeling the heat of New York as fans gave him hell following the loss to the Lions. The second year quarterback isn't fairing much better than Mark Sanchez and at 1-3 the fans are letting him know that they're disappointed.
Smith had some choice words for the fans as he left the field, but immediately apologized during his post game interview because THE KIDS!
Is it Mike Vick time in NY?

Geno Smith Nailed an Old Dude on the Bears Sideline
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

Being on an NFL sideline can be dangerous, just ask Sean Payton or this old dude. Geno Smith destroyed him as he was tackled along the Bears sideline.
The man popped right back up and seemed to be okay, but I bet he's feeling it today.
Wait is that old guy Brian Urlacher?

Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Both the veteran Michael Vick and second year pro Geno Smith spoke about the QB battle that is just starting in New York. It's months away from the opening week in NFL but the work has already started and the Jets QB situation will be a preseason long affair.

Mike Vick to Visit the Jets
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Mike Vick will be visiting with the Jets this weekend. Vick is looking for a starting quarterback job after losing his to Nick Foles last season, due to injury.
Injury is the key word, Vick was having a good year before being injured, if he's to help a team win he needs to be healthy. When healthy Vick is still a good quarterback who could start for several teams.
If the Jets do sign him expect an immediate quarterback controversy as Vick will likely compete for the starting job with last year's starter Geno Smith.

Geno Smith Shows He Can Fumble Off Of A Butt Too
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Geno Smith showed this weekend that he too can fumble off of a butt. He raised Mark Sanchez' butt fumble by fumbling off of his own backside. Jets quarterbacks must be able to fumble off of a butt.

Josh Freeman Benched
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have benched quarterback Josh Freeman after only three games. Of course the Bucs haven't won any of those games and after drafting a quarterback last year they decide to start him. The rookie quarterback is Mike Glennon from North Carolina State. He was the third QB taken in the draft behind EJ Manuel and Geno Smith.

Rex (2 Chainz) Ryan and the Jets Hold On to Win
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

Rex Ryan's chains must have brought him some luck as the Jets held off the Bill to win 27-20 on Sunday afternoon. The Jets tried to lose with 18 penalties but Rex's magic chains wouldn't allow it. They held off a late surge by the Bills and took home the victory to go 2-1 and the young season.
Mark Sanchez and his hairband were also obviously a factor, although I think he secretly wants them to fail so when he's able he can come back and start. It doesn't look good for him as rookie Geno Smith has played well.
