Daniel Cormier won a split decision over Alexander Gustafsson to successfully defend his light heavyweight belt.

The headliner of UFC on FOX 14 from Sweden was Anthony Johnson vs Alexander Gustafsson.  The fight didn't make it past the first round.  Gustafsson was fighting in front of his home crowd, but proved to be easy work for Johnson.

Johnson dropped Gustafsson early in the first round with a right hand, that cause the tall Swede to drop to a knee.  Gustafsson was able to get back up, but the damage had been done and Johnson smelled victory.  He eventually was able to get Gustafsson to the ground and finish the fight with some vicious strikes.

Alexander Gustafsson won his fight against Jimi Manuwa at UFC Fight Night 37 and called out current light heavyweight champ Jon Jones.  As you know Jones was almost beaten by Gustafsson and somehow was granted an immediate rematch.

It looks like however Gustafsson will get his way as the UFC has announced he will get the winner of the upcoming title bout between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira.
