Cole Hamels no hit the Cubs.  Yes all of the Cubs young hitting talent was in the lineup.

So how does that happen?  It could be they're a little overhyped.  It is after all the same hype machine thay put two Cubs in the home run derby.

We all remember how they did in that event don't we?

Let's see them play before we start saying they're great.  Do they have potential?  Yes, but that doesn't mean we're looking at the next team to make a long run in the playoffs.

Now to Hamels.  With the trade deadline on Friday, ESPN and all of the talking heads have already traded him.

Does his no hitter help teams thinking about trading for him make a decision?  It might.

But don't forget about his two starts prior to this one where he was awful with an ERA in the high teens.

I just hope if somehow the Yankees end up getting Hamels that they didn't give up too much for him and he returns to his 2008 form.
